Honeydew melon is found largely in South India and some parts of central India. Honeydew has a smooth, light-tinted rind with pale green firm flesh. It is grown in hot and dry conditions which makes it more sweeter and juicy. These fruits are harvested depending on the surface colour. When the underside or belly of the melon turns from a greenish white to buttery yellow or cream. It doesn't have any particular season to harvest. It is rich in Vitamin A & C, which helps to prevent heart diseases and lower bad cholesterol. It is used in juices, Ice Creams and can be eaten by itself.
