Botanical Name: Zea mays L
Sweetcorn is also known as Sugar Corn because of its high sugar/starch content and it is covered with a green leafy husk and strands of hair, known as ‘silk’. Our Corn on cobs are processed, frozen, and packed to maintain the colour, taste and juiciness of the corn on cobs. Sweet corn is very high in fibre, folate, thiamin, magnesium, phosphorus, vitamin C, and very high in antioxidants. It is also cholesterol free. To bring its enriching taste of the sweetcorn, Mystic Roots offers the best quality of the IQF Corn on cob.
Mystic Roots exports premium quality frozen IQF sweet corn Cobs and it is produced through the following process under hygienic condition. The fresh sweet corns are washed and kernels are removed (manually/mechanically as per customer's request). The removed kernels are blanched, dewatered and frozen using IQF (designed to halt microbial activities). The frozen sweet corn kernels are put through a sieve, inspected, packed and fed through a metal detector and stored at -18°C.
